HELPING PASTORS

The Pastors’ Paraclete is a ministry for pastors and their families. In the New Testament, the word paráklētos is transliterated as paraclete. It is used in reference to the Holy Spirit and is often translated as “Counselor,” “Advocate,” or “Helper” to describe the Holy Spirit’s roles in the lives of believers. It also carries with it the idea of someone who is “called alongside,” a “comforter,” or an “intercessor.”

Pastors are usually the ones taking care of others, and very often neglect caring for themselves. While we are not even remotely claiming to be THE (Holy Spirit) Counselor, Advocate, Helper, Comforter, or Intercessor, The Pastors’ Paraclete desires to come alongside pastors and be a paraclete for them.

In the initial phase of the ministry, we are focusing on being a "helper" by doing the legwork of creating a database of ministries and people who offer services specifically designed for pastors and/or their families. When you're the ones helping other people all the time, it can be an exhausting and daunting task to figure out where you can get the help you need. Right now, all of the information exists in a variety of formats, and we want to bring it together in one central location to make it easier for you to quickly access and get in contact with people who have a heart for serving pastors and/or their families.

We are currently in the process of creating a searchable database that is accessible through this website. In the meantime, if you are a pastor looking for support for yourself or your family, please fill out the form below to receive a list of ministries or people who may be of assistance.
